My mom brought me a macbook black that she said wasn't turning on. I think she said something spilled on it. I opened and cleaned it up a little, plugged the top casing in and it started. After turning it on and off a few times I put it back together and it didn't turn on. I opened it again and realized the ribbon that plugs into the top casing and the motherboard looked a little bad and that I can only get it to start when the top casing is in a certain position. So I messed with it and got it to turn on when put back together but the keyboard and mouse pad don't work. If I plug a usb mouse or keyboard in then those work. So my question is does anybody think it is the ribbon cable or the whole top casing in general? I don't want to go through the hassle of buying the cable and it doesn't work then trying to return it and then buying the top casing.
